Look What We've Been Up To

·         Read Chrysanthemum by Kevin Henkes, and graphed the number of letters in our names

·         Listened to several Mo Willems “Pigeon” books, which we LOVE!

·         Shared our All About Me books with the class and talked about connections we have with other classmates

·         Learned the words like and is

·         Learned about work stations and practiced working quietly with a group

·         Drew and painted self-portraits

·         Practiced patterning with cubes

·         Used magnetic letters to create words and names

·         Wrote letters, numbers and words on dry erase boards

·         Created pictures using pattern blocks

·         Practiced writing the numbers 1-6 and matching sets of objects

·         Talked about syllables or parts of words and practiced clapping the syllables in our names

·         Harvested onions from our green neighborhood garden

·         Shared our harvest with the other classes in our neighborhood

·         Made our own pizzas!
