Miss Katie, from the Washington Township Park District came to visit and talk to us about our worm composter again. The focus for this visit was to learn how we can use the compost to help plants grow. We learned to make compost tea by pouring water into the top of the composter and allowing it to seap through to the bottom of the container.
We planted Forget Me Not seeds and will be watering half of the seeds with plain water and the other half with compost tea. We predicted that the rich nutrients in the compost tea will allow the plants to grow much more quickly!
