Look what we’ve been up to

·         Had a visit from Mrs. Bizarro, who read the book The Juice Box Bully by Bob Sornson and Maria Dismondy.  We discussed the ABC’s of Problem Solving:

Answer, “What is the problem?”

Brainstorm solutions

Choose the best one

Do it!

·         Learned the words “a”& “the”

·         Learned and practice the sounds for f & g

·         Added three new poems to our poetry folder

·         Isolated the ending sound of words orally (i.e. what sound do you hear at the end of the word lamp?  /p/)

·         Created Halloween pictures using our thumbprints

·         Practiced retelling stories using the pictures

·         Read many Halloween and Fall themed books.

·         Carved a jack-o-lantern and read the story Pumpkin Jack

·         Are observing our jack-o-lanterns (which have moved outside) as they continue to change
